Personal Project Update

I'm having some real difficulty getting in contact with my landlord. I've never actually seen/met the man; all correspondence is through the real estate agent, and she doesn't give out his phone number. I just have to leave a message with her and hope he gets back to me. It's been two months...my hope is dwindling. So. I started going door to door this weekend with the surveys, without his consent or feedback. In the interest of political management I thought it would have been better to let him know my intentions prior to giving out the surveys, but I'm running out of time! Besides, the real estate agent was pretty clear that if he didn't make money off of it, he wasn't going to do it. But I still need him to at least give me permission to put my own bins out.

So far, the reception's been good among the tenants on the survey and they actually seem pretty interested, but I'm finding that NO ONE IS HOME (or else they're choosing not to answer when they see a weird girl at the door with a clipboard). Nevertheless, through the barking dogs and creepy tenants ("so, what are you doing later?") and unresponsive landlord, I am NOT giving up my dream of apartment recycling. It just might be that it involves a few bins sitting in front of my unit, and me driving to the County Recycling Center each week with a load. And that's alright with me. :)
